Being Human Together Youth Summit
Portland State Univ Choirs (2023)
Director/Cinematographer/Editor/ Color Grader
Being Human Together started first as a mindset, and then as a workshop. Presented at the Texas music educator conference in February 2020, Coty Raven Morris facilitated workshops that allow participants to have not only dialogue about their experiences in and outside of the classroom, but to find common ground on vocabulary, and where they may or may not have expertise. As the world began to open back up, the conversations continued and demanded for them increased! Combining Morris, his passion, for working with the youth in the community with the resources of Portland, State University, and the choir for houseless initiative, the three pillars of being coming to gather have formed: youth, neighbors, and community
Portland Beer Week Presents Rye Beer Fest 2023
Benefiting NAMI Multnomah (2023)
Director/Cinematographer/Editor/Color Grader
A classic Portland Beer Week event is back as the Rye Beer Fest for the first time since 2017 at Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom. Rye beers are a bit of a throwback to the mid-2010’s when rye was a hot new flavor adjunct in craft beers like Bear Republic Brewing’s Hot Rod Rye, and Sierra Nevada Brewing’s Ruthless Rye. The Rye Beer Fest is more than just a celebration of craft beer; it is also a platform for supporting a significant cause. By participating in this event, attendees contributed to raising awareness and $1,000 for the esteemed mental health non-profit organization, NAMI Multnomah. NAMI Multnomah’s mission is to improve the quality of life for people living with a mental health condition and their families through support, education and advocacy.
